The Alpha Orientation Program, organized by the IEEE SB GECW, was held on 27th October
2024 at the ASAP Hall for first-year students. The event began with a talk session by Farshan Yoosuf, a past LINK team member, who shared valuable insights into IEEE and its vast opportunities. Following this, Arjun, TCC LINK and IEEE SB Secretary, delivered a session on "Elevate with IEEE," inspiring students to make the most of IEEE resources. An interactive ice-breaking session conducted by Swila Salih allowed participants to connect and engage in a fun manner. The program then proceeded with a hands-on workshop titled "Getting Started with 3D," led by Aldrin Sobi, which introduced students to the basics of 3D design.
Finally, the event concluded with the "Think Beyond Sight Ideathon," organized by IEEE SIGHT GECW, encouraging participants to brainstorm innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The orientation program was a resounding success, offering students valuable insights, technical exposure, and an inspiring introduction to IEEE.

IEEE SIGHT SESSION AT ALPHA
On 27th October 2024, IEEE SIGHT GECW, in collaboration with IEEE SB GECW, conducted an engaging session during the Alpha Orientation Program at ASAP Hall to introduce firstyear students to IEEE SIGHT's mission and the role of technology in addressing societal challenges. Led by Chairperson Ashita and Joint Secretary Pranav, the session featured a presentation on IEEE SIGHT's vision and initiatives, followed by the "Think Beyond SIGHT Ideathon," where students showcased creative problem-solving skills. The session successfully inspired students to participate in humanitarian technological efforts, fostering teamwork, innovation, and enthusiasm for global impact.
