THERMAL ENGINEERING LAB
The Thermal Engineering Lab-I focuses on fundamental thermodynamics and internal combustion engines. Through experiments on IC engines, compressor, and mechanical blower students gain a deep understanding of thermal processes. They analyze energy transfer mechanisms and study the performance of heat engines. This lab provides a strong foundation for further exploration of energy systems and thermal engineering applications.
OBJECTIVES
- Measure thermo-physical properties of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels
- Identify various systems and subsystems of Diesel and petrol engines
- Analyse the performance characteristics of internal combustion engines
- Investigate the emission characteristics of exhaust gases from IC Engines
- Interpret the performance characteristics of air compressors / blowers
